Our purpose is to support community-based vision care, foster research innovation, and reward those working tirelessly to eliminate avoidable blindness across India.

About Dr. M.C. Nahata

Dr. M.C. Nahata was a revolutionary ophthalmologist who performed over 2 lakh free surgeries and established eye care systems that reached India’s remotest corners.
His contributions in intraocular lens surgeries, rural eye camps, and medical education laid the groundwork for modern community ophthalmology.

🏅 Recipient of national honors, humanitarian awards, and a mentor to thousands, his life continues to inspire a movement for equitable eye care.
